The Museum of Vitold Byalynitsky-Birulya

On 19 June 2026 at 5:00 PM the Vitold Byalynitsky-Birulya Museum (37 Leninskaya Street, Magiliou), an affiliate of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus, will host the opening reception of «The Moment Is Neutral», an exhibition of paintings by Gomel-based artist Lizaveta Auchynnikava.

The exhibition features the paintings of Lizaveta Auchynnikava, an artist with a distinct professional manner and a strong sense of style. The diversity of subjects, styles, and techniques, as well as a vivid colour palette, are the defining features of her work. The artist’s continuous experiments result in a variety of technical and stylistic solutions. Having confidently mastered academic drawing, she emphasises symbolic meanings and subtle conceptual narratives. Lizaveta Auchynnikava’s works are marked by an intellectual approach to colour, expressiveness of form and shades, and in-depth analysis of the texture of the canvas.

«The Moment Is Neutral» is an exploration of the point of contact between the artist and reality. Neutrality is understood not as the absence of emotions, but as a space of utmost concentration in which the object loses its familiar meaning and acquires a new one through colour, line, and texture. The world in itself is devoid of colour and serves as a neutral environment. The artist’s gaze becomes the instrument that disturbs this peace.

Through vivid images on her canvases, she invites viewers to become acquainted with the project’s key themes, such as the transformation of the object through the prism of the artist’s vision, the dialogue between order and chaos, and the moment of the painting’s subjective silence.

The exhibition «The Moment Is Neutral» is on view until 19 July 2026.
